Plant Characteristics :
Habit : Scandent shrub
Habitat & Ecology : Terrestrial Wild, grows chiefly along rivers and streams upto 1500 m. ,
Occurrence : Throughout the south-western part of the state, also in Terai and Doors.

Status : Common
Botanical Character : Climbing shrub with copious scattered, slightly hooked prickles, branches few, downy. Leaves altrnate, bipinnate, main rachis densely pubescent with a large plate-shaped gland at the base of the petiole and one between each of the 2-4 upper pairs of pinnae. Leaflets very small, sessile, linear, obtuse, unequal-sided, glabrous. Flowers in copiously panicled globose heads, small, white or pink. Pods stalked, straight, flat, thin, rounded or shortly apiculate, glabrous. Seeds 8-14, ovoid-oblong, compressed, dark brown.
