Plant Characteristics :
Habit : Small tree with sharp spine
Habitat & Ecology : Terrestrial Xerophyte, grows scatteredly in drier regions,
Occurrence : Common in shrubberies, river banks, wastelands

Botanical Character : Small branched tree. Branchlets straight, finely grey, downy, with straight axillary stipular spines-upto 5 cm long, white, ascending . Leaves bipinnate, rachies downy with several glands, leaflets 1-25 pairs, entire, glabrous. Peduncles short, profusely bracteate. Flowers yellow numerous in globose heads. Corolla tubular with subtriangular teeth, stamens numerous. Pods coriaceous, subindehiscent, distinctively stalked, moniliform, 8-12 -seeded.
