Plant Characteristics :
Habit : Erect annual herb
Habitat & Ecology : Terrestrial, Aggressive coloniser, grows in wastelands,roadsides as well as arid zones
Occurrence : Through out the state

Status : Common
Botanical Character : An erect annual herb, growing upto 90 cm. Stem hairy, terete, softly acute. Leaves simple, petiolate, opposite, broadly ovate, subacute, base cuneate, hairy on both sides. Upper leaves may be alternate, ovate, crenate. Flower head pale pink or white in terminal corymbose panicles. Involucre campanulate, bracts 2-3 seriate, linear or oblong ovate with ciliate margin. Florets alike, tubular, bisexual. Pappus scales 5-awned, dilated at base, aristate. Corolla tube with 5 subacute teeth. Aachenes 5-angled, black.
