Status : Frequent yet vulnerable due to extensive collection.
Botanical Character : Perennial plants with erect stem upto 1.0 m tall, simple below, large root tubers are present. Leaves rounded or oval, stiffly hairy, deeply segmented with toothed margin, palmately pentafid. Flowers white to purple, arranged in dense terminal scapes. Uppermost sepal hood-like. Fruits oblong; testa plaited, follicles 5.
