 Botanical Character        : A small herbaceous plant, ash coloured and little tomentose. Branches from a stout woody perennial root stock, pubescent above and white-woolly beneath. Leaves ovate, obtuse, shortly mucronate, pubescent on both sides. Flowers very small, sessile, greenish-white, bisexual, in small dense axillary spikes. Petals 5, silky-hairy on back. Utricle ovoid, seeds black, smooth.
