Plant Characteristics :
Habit : Suffrutescent
Habitat & Ecology : Grows in the Temperate Himalayan region.,
Occurrence : Occurs abundantly in the Darjeeling Hills at an altitude of 1900-2600 m.

Status : Common
Botanical Character : Perennial shrub with underground stem (rhizome). Stem and leaves with long fulvous hairs, especially around base of the petioles. Leaves compound; leaflets 2.5-10 cm long, ovate, acuminate, often cordate at the base, generally scabrous on the nerves on both surfaces. Rachis of panicle woolly-pubescent, and brown-villose; pedicels short with a small bract at the base. Sepals green, subglabrous, oblong, obtuse, erect. Flowers green-yellow, petals 0, stamens 5 opposite the sepals. Young carpels are slightly united. Ripe carpels are deflexed. Seeds numerous.
